![]() ![]() There's another roundabout way to do it using a label template. ![]() Be sure to mention that you would like a recipe template that will work with Office 2007. Or ask your question here in the Google Docs help section forum. After registering with a Google Docs account, see what the help section says about that. Google Docs and its templates are pretty compatibility with MS Office and Open Office applications. They have hundreds of templates and you could see if they have a recipe program template that you could use. In fact, you don't even NEED a Google Account to begin to use the service, but you would need to register with the e-mail address you would want to use for a Google Docs account. The other thing you could do is get a Google Account and sign up with Google Docs. Does anyone have any good suggestions for the OP regarding a good recipe database program? MS Access is only offered on pro versions of Office.Īlso what is the make and model of the printer being used? It sounds like MS Access for a database program, or whatever they call Open Office's database program, would have the ability to format and print receipe cards better than Word. ![]() Another feature of the recipe programs I have seen is the ability to print all recipes, or all from any category, etc. Unfortunately I don't know the field well enough to recommend "the best" recipe program- but a Google search would certainly come up with some- and not that you have your recipes in Word, it would only be a matter of copy and paste into a dedicated recipe program. A true recipe program would definitely have the capability of printing to cards built in. Microsoft Word is not really a recipe program- especially as far as database functions of a true recipe program. I don't see 4 X 6" as a standard paper size in either Microsoft Word or OpenOffice Writer, however under printer setup you could use "User defined paper" (or whatever Microsoft calls it) to specify a 4 X 6" card and reset your margins accordingly. You could insert a text box into the sheet and move the text within the text box- thus giving yourself a cutting line. Inserting one document at the bottom of another would allow two recipes on an 11" sheet of paper. Click to expand.dannyn is right, it is a margin issue: ![]()
